GoT Ascent is a social MMO game , set in the events prior to Jon Arryn’s death (c’mon, he died in S1E1, no need to mark as a spoiler), so be warned of the shock of interacting with so many alive characters. The game is deliberately slow and focused on reading and choosing the right options every time, so don’t expect any kind of battle simulation. There are battles, sure, but there’s little if any interaction in them other than selecting your approach (fight, bribe, or sabotage). This scheme also works for nearly everything in the game . It’s great to see how characters and places have been gorgeously replicated, but it’s also hard to not feel cuffed to a storyline. Interaction with other players is more based in trade and standing by words rather than anything else.
