What it does, it does OK but there’s plenty of scope for improvement. Detection: It was a bit hit and miss – mostly hit, fortunately. I’m not clear why it sometimes failed, though. Pairing: This was possible on my tablet – with extra stabilising and care to keep the field of view as tight as possible… yet still managed to pick up reflections; on my phone, I just couldn’t get a steady enough view. The tablet was paired pretty accurately, as far as I could tell (yes, the lights could do with wrapping a bit better on the tree…). Multiple devices: I’ve got my phone and tablet and my wife has her phone. It would be nice if all the user layouts were shared – i.e. once uploaded, all the other paired devices could view and edit them. Editing: I would like a “brush” in loop mode where I could tell an LED to turn on till turned off (or off until turned on) – i.e. no fading out. I’d like a quick “clear” whilst editing to turn everything off (without having to exit editing and start anew). I’d like to be able to hit “Edit” after selecting an effect … for some you can; for some you can’t; for user effects, you seem only to be able to bin them.
